HR Recruitment Processes Using RPA- Use Case

Robotic Process Automation is being sought after by businesses as a clever and successful business solution. RPA automates all the mundane back-office tasks that are repetitive and time-consuming. RPA is already assisting businesses in increasing operational efficiency by accelerating the process and lowering errors. Additionally, it promotes cost savings and enables more effective resource allocation. It enables robots to conduct computer-based office work with little to no manual involvement, freeing up human employees to focus their time and energy on critical tasks.

Human resource automation allows firms to substantially simplify day-to-day operations by automating the most repetitive work and allowing HR professionals to focus on other productive and strategic duties vital to the company's growth.
RPA in HR operations is primarily focused on microtasks, combining all procedures that massive legacy systems could not or would not solve.

Scenario

Whenever it comes to hiring new staff, masses of paperwork are normally involved. Each department recruitment resume screening will be done by different HR. For instance, a company receive huge number of e-mails each day in which recruiting candidates for website testing will be done by a HR team and recruiting candidates for website development will be done by a different HR team. We were asked to perform e-mail automation ie., to check whether the attachment is a word or a pdf, whether it matches the job ID, subject and other details asked for, then forwarding it to the respective HR. The e-mail will be rejected if it doesn’t contain a covering letter and the rejected notification will also be sent to the applicants.

Solution

RPA enabled the team to automate resume operations and scan documents for critical keywords. This was a critical step in standardizing the process for all recruiters and moving qualified applicants through the hiring funnel more effectively. Fortunately, RPA software robots can assisted in efficiently filling out and processing documents.

Delivery

The team is sure that the project resulted in considerable time and cost savings. Whereas pre-screening used to take over half of each recruiter’s work(around 20 hours per week), it cut the time required by nearly 95% - down to only one hour per week. This resulted in annual cost savings of $30,000 per recruiter, a figure that climbs exponentially when multiplied by the number of recruiters worldwide.

RPA is an ideal administrative assistant for high-volume recruiting. Screening, sourcing, and scheduling are examples of tasks. RPA is designed to reduce recruitment workload while improving overall hiring accuracy.
